About This Lesson
February is Black History Month, and a fantastic way to help students and children of all ages learn more about African American history is with picture books. These Children’s Books to Celebrate Black History Month by Black Authors will help widen a child’s perspective and show how they can make the world a better, more equitable place. However, using #ownvoices stories where Black authors can have the platform to tell these stories is paramount.
