About This Lesson

Focus: In this introduction to the solar system, students learn about Earth in relation to the moon, the other planets, the sun, and the stars. They learn about the sun as a source of light, heat, and energy. And they are introduced to space exploration, including the Apollo missions to the moon.

Number of Lessons: 9

Lesson Time: 60 minutes each. Each lesson may be divided into shorter segments.
