About This Lesson

Focus: Students are introduced to key figures, events, and ideas associated with two episodes in the founding of the United States of America—the first voyage of Columbus in 1492 and the arrival of the Pilgrims in 1620.

Lessons: The unit consists of nine lessons, each of which are 50 minutes long. Each lesson may be divided into shorter segments.
