About This Lesson

Focus: Unit 5 introduces students to eight new sounds, including a spelling alternative for /k/. Through oral language games, chaining exercises, and story demonstrations with the decodable Big Book (Ox and Man), students practice blending these sounds into words. Students also practice previously learned letter-sound correspondences.
