About This Lesson

Students will learn about the causes and consequences of climate change, and through case studies, explore the ways in which climate change can impact plants and animals. They will also consider what actions can be taken to reduce the impacts of climate change.

Powerpoint on climate change looks OK. I would make some modifications, though. For example, I would focus more on the implications of drought, desertification, possible shutdown of the Gulf Stream, depletion of aquifers, extreme temps making highly populated areas no longer arable or habitable, etc.

I really like the activity coupled with the presentation and fact sheet. I teach geography to EFL students overseas (with a whiteboard, yet no books??), so this is quite a good lesson for me to use with them. Thanks!
