About This Lesson
In this lesson, students will listen to the story Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg. They will identify and discuss the environmental issues highlighted in the book - air pollution, water pollution, waste disposal, and habitat destruction. Students will then look at their own community to find examples of these issues in their city or state. To wrap up, students will identify one issue along with one way they can help make a difference to combat climate change.
