About This Lesson

The unit plan is entitled, “Commercial Sense – The Art of Writing a Commercial”.  This lesson plan is geared toward grades 3rd through 5th and focuses on student creativity and critical thinking.  Students will partake in a number of activities that include sensory adjectives, taste and touch hands on activities.  Students will learn how to create a story board and write a script for a 1-2 minute commercial.  Students will create a product that is targeted for their peers.  They will film the commercial and evaluate each others’ completed project.  Their commercials will be posted on Google Classroom for their peers, teachers and parents to view.  Through this experience students will enhance their writing skills as well as engage in many activities to enhance creativity.
