About This Lesson
Ask students to give various amounts of candies to the two children, then complete the number sentence below. Challenge students to write the problem as a calulation (eg 6 - 3 = 3), then check with the reveal. Ask them to show a particular sum, eg 'what is the difference between 5 and 12? How can you show that using the candies?'
