About This Lesson
In this lesson, students explore what is beautiful with the intention of expanding their definitions through the Japanese concept of wabi. A careful examination of the Natsume, Sun and Moon Thin Tea Caddy and the Ceramic Thick Tea Caddy will guide the discussion and help students craft their own haiku poems.
At least three lessons. Presumes a tremendous amount of background knowledge on the part of the teacher and the student.
