About This Lesson

This activity on Confucius has students look at several adapted excerpts from The Analects and use them to better understand 7 character goals for themselves: confidence, empathy, patience, civility, curiosity, discussing, researching. They must match one of Confucius' guidelines with 5 of those 7 characteristics, explain how it relates, and then figure out a time in their life when that guideline would have been or could be helpful.
