About This Lesson
This is a great literacy center during a Continents Unit. Students work in pairs to sort the short "a" word family words. (at, an, ap, am, ad, ab, ag) Before they sound out the word, they must identify the continent on the card. Once the words are sorted, the students record the words on the recording sheet. Run the word family cards on card stock paper and laminate.
