About This Lesson
This is a culturally responsive lesson plan on Langston Hughes' "I, Too, Sing America." The objectives are that students will be able to understand that an author’s background and perspective informs our reading and analysis of texts, and will be able to use a non-fiction text about an author to help them express the key ideas of that same author’s text. Feedback is welcome!
