About This Lesson

Starter Activity - Get students to work in pairs or threes. They should take turns to come and look at the poster. They have to remember what they can and re-create the poster on a sheet of paper or in their books. Give them about ten turns to come up. Discuss memory strategies throughout the activity. The poster they have created can then be used for reference and discussion throughout the lesson. Students love this and I find it a great way to get them to teach themselves about a topic.

A very nice collective memory task based on the topic of the data handling cycle. I like these types of tasks because it gets pupils remembering things and learning them, but in a fun and engaging way. Ideal as a starter, wrap up or revision activity.
