About This Lesson
Both resources are variations on the same concept: Students have to choose the correct materials for different parts of a saucepan.
The 'design a saucepan' handout can be used as a quick class or homework activity.
Alternatively, students can actually carry out experiments in order to see how good different materials are at conducting heat and then use the 'saucepan' PowerPoint slide to write up their results.
A nice resource allowing students to analyze data, link to applications of science and practice their literacy skills. This activity could be used in conjuntion with the APP grid to assess AF1, AF2 experiments were done or graphs drawn using the data then the other assessment foci too.
