About This Lesson
A guide for educators to integrate multimedia content on immigration from films produced by young adults for the American Immigration Council’s “Change in Motion” contest. No more than 5 minutes in length, these films inspire critical thinking and creative teaching. Common Core questions can be used as warm-ups, homework, extra credit, advisories, or full lessons in order to provide students with real-world accounts on the impact of immigration today. Explore themes and topics covered in the individual films, as well make connections to primary texts via political cartoons.
