About This Lesson
A worksheet to be used by children practising measuring accurately to the nearest millimeter. Best used with a fun timer on the IWB; and even a music accompaniment. Children in pairs have to find items that measure the specified dimensions; and if they are not completely accurate; they add up the millimeters over as their final score. As a wrap up I have asked children to tell the class their most interesting accurate measurement which in the past has included the teacher's hand span; a hair (!); the hamster's ear etc..
