About This Lesson

The siege of the U.S. Capitol on December 6th by a group of extremists to cause chaos and disrupt our democratic process could be seen unfolding live on television, online, and in every form of social media. The level of violence and appearance of hate symbols elicited fear, anger and shock. We offer these resources to support the challenging conversations awaiting educators and families when they face young people in the aftermath of these events.
