About This Lesson
As well as being a month-long celebration, Pride month is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise political awareness of current issues facing the community. It’s also an excellent time to encourage conversations, understanding, and empathy. We know that not everyone in the US is accepting of LGBTQIA adults and that their rights are constantly under attack. That’s why there is such a need for books that create a safe place and a respectful dialogue for all LGBTQIA youth and adults.
