About This Lesson

This 10 minute video contains a complete lesson around  the folktale from India of the Blind Men and the Elephant. (Perfect for Remote Learning!) It teaches the importance of listening to different perspectives to arrive at a more complete understanding of the truth. Various viewpoints can be correct but not complete, emphasizing the power of diversity.

The lesson introduces a simple ethical framework, the 4 Awesome Questions: Is it true?  Is it Fair? Will it build Friendships and Community? Will it be Helpful to those involved? The video provides audio that tracks the text, and follows up with questions to promote Social Emotional Learning and Critical Thinking.
