About This Lesson

Based on Joseph Stiglitz's book entitled "The Great Divide": Unequal Societies and What We Can Do About Them, student will analyze and evaluate how policy has contributed to the Great Economic Divide. By reading an excerpt of the book regarding "How Policy Contributes to the Great Economic Divide", students will develop a deeper understanding of formulating and supporting a thesis, as well as understand the role and subsequent effects of policymaking by the President, Congress or the Federal Reserve Bank.
