About This Lesson
A TESiboard activity to model a variety of different concepts and strategies around partitioning. Ask the class to think of a target number e.g. 20. Place lower numbers from the numberline onto the stage to set the problem (e.g. 7, 13, 4, 15). Ask them to suggest what number needs to be dropped onto each stage number to reach the target (e.g. drop 13 onto 7 to get 20).
