About This Lesson

Ebola Outbreak Resources

Most of us are aware of the terrifying Ebola outbreak in Africa from 2014. More than 3,000 people died in Liberia, Sierra Leone. Guinea and Nigeria, and many more are expected to die before this tragic epidemic ends. Media reports have put the mortality rate at greater than 90 percent in most of these countries, except in Nigeria (which has a better health system) and where the spread appears to be under control.

Use this lesson plan via PBS and school prep resource via AFT to teach students about Ebola and what precautions to take to stay healthy,
