About This Lesson
Spring is the time of the year when many oviparous creatures lay eggs. This activity will teach students about the parts of a chicken's egg & the many ways we eat them, in a fun way. Copy & laminate the Egg Word Cards. Cut the words apart & place one word & matching picture in a plastic egg. Number the eggs 1-10 with a permanent marker. Students take one egg at a time, crack it open & put the word together with the picture of what it is. They then spell & write the word on their recording sheet next to the number that corresponds with the number on the plastic egg. ECE-SC-na, ECE-SC
