ELA Warm-Up

This fun and interactive warm-up activity encourages students to make choices between two options that highlight different aspects of perseverance, sparking discussion and reflection.

Doodle Article

Students read a passage about perseverance, then engage with multiple-choice questions to test comprehension. Doodle tasks prompt them to creatively reflect on key concepts from the article.

Poetry Analysis

Students analyze the poem "Mother to Son" by Langston Hughes, using an interactive flipbook to break down the meaning of perseverance in the poem and connect it to their own experiences.

Read, Doodle, and Do

This activity combines reading about perseverance with creative doodling and writing prompts, encouraging students to reflect on challenges they've overcome and express their thoughts through art and writing.

Brain Bursts

In this listening activity, students practice careful listening skills as they transform a silly sentence into a powerful quote about perseverance and success.

Everything you need to teach about perseverance and build important ELA skills is included. Just print-and-teach!
