Elephant Run Interactive Journal Template is very much like the Novel HyperDocs. This one is very well done especially for secondary students. It is a more generalized literature unit so it could easily be changed to fit any current novel or short story. It does not have chapter by chapter assigned vocabulary or text based activities. They are generalized around topics like character analyses or POV.. It is very well done.
Elephant Run by Roland Smith is a historical fiction novel that explores the far-reaching effects of WWII. When 14 year old Nick is sent to Burma to escape the 1941 bombings of London, he ends up in greater danger as Japanese soldiers arrive and take control of his family’s plantation and home.
