About This Lesson

This resource includes two articles that tell the story of Emmett Till. This lesson can be placed in either English or History. It includes writing prompts that are purposed to lead to class discussion, it includes the article in which the murderers of Emmett Till confessed to Huie, and it includes questions about the documentary as well. The documentary to for this case can be found on youtube (The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till). These resources match perfectly with a portion of the 10th grade 4th quarter pacing guides that were recently created by CPS for this coming (15-16) year.
