A puzzle that involves solving linear equations.Students solve the equations; find the answer on the grid and shade it in.When all the answer have been found; they can rearrange the letters in the un-shaded squares to reveal the phrase SOLVING EQUATIONS IS EASY.I've used this many times and it always goes down a treat. The students are so busy trying to find the phrase they don't realize they are getting lots of solving equations practice!
A nice code breaking activity based on the topic of solving equations. Pupils have to solve equations to work out the missing letters which eventually, when all the answers are completed, will spell a secret phrase. A nice way to consolidate a lesson or could be used as a homework.
