About This Lesson
These sheets can be used for a whole group tiered lesson on equivalent fractions. Students should use fraction circles/squares/bars to explore and find examples of equivalence (3.NF.3 and MP 4 - Modeling). They should then look for structure (MP 7) and determine a pattern to extend their equivalent fractions past the limits of the circles.
The blue sheet represents grade level work. The yellow is for students who are ready for a challenge and the green is for struggling students who are working toward the standard.
