About This Lesson
Give children numbered containers. They choose 2; then choose the objects they will be using to fill their container (cubes; marbles; cars; etc.) and write them in the first column. They estimate how many of that object will fill each of their 2 containers; then take an actual measurement. They then choose another non-standard unit (while keeping the same container) and repeat.
