About This Lesson
In this activity the numbers have been exchanged for symbols. A key is given at the bottom of the page to show which symbols represent each number. The children have to work out the answers by adding the number associated by the symbols. Aligned with Common Core Standard: K.OA.2, 1.OA.6, Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Understand addition as putting together and adding to, and understand subtraction as taking apart and taking from.
