This is a good start to a solid lesson. The activity attached to this article is a great sample of a bell ringer or exit ticket that I would use to assess my students after we discussed the role of carbohydrates from page 1. I would ask my students to use textual evidence from P.1 to support their meal justifications on pages 2 & 3.
