Five Senses Real or Nonsense Word Sort

This activity is a good way to practice real and nonsense CVC words. Copy and laminate the Five Senses Word Cards. Cut them out and place them in a container face down. Have the students work with a partner to read and sort the words. The words should then be placed on the Real or Nonsense Word mats. Once all the words have been read and sorted, the students can copy the words on to the recording sheet. Appropriate for Early Childhood Education (Pre-K and younger).
