About This Lesson

This is an American Patriotism math center. Each student receives a probability sheet. I made a flag die out of a blank wooden building block and drew flags on all six sides. I colored 3 flags red and 3 flags blue. Student take turns rolling the flag die and record the colored rolled. Before the game starts, they need to predict which color they think they will roll most. After 15 minutes of playing, ask the students to stop and record how many red and blue flags they rolled. The final question is to count how many flags they rolled altogether.

I love all of the center activities that you have uploaded and shared with us. They are simple yet meaningful activities to teach young students important foundational math skills.
