About This Lesson

This is a unit plan covering the stages in the formation of the Constitution. It has students make connections between the content in the U.S. Constitution and the philosophies that influenced the Founding Fathers, examine the Federalist Debates, and understand how those debates influenced the creation of the Bill of Rights. At the end of the unit, students will make projects showing the creation process for the U.S. Constitution as well as a current event dealing with interpretations of it.
