About This Lesson

This series of four lessons provides learners of all ages with an introductory framework for understanding the different ways countries organize themselves politically: What is the difference between democracy and authoritarianism? What are some useful methods for categorizing political systems? And what are the implications for citizens when a government changes, either slowly or all at once?
