A TES iboard activity to use fractions as proportions of shapes. Shade the squares within the shapes according to the fractions requested. The options menu allows different fractions to be tackled, with the default setting being no. 2 (halves and quarters).
A useful resource for showing the different combinations that can show 1/2, 1/4 and 3/4. It's also a good way to move from finding fractions of shapes to fractions of numbers. However, I would agree with the comment below: it would be better to move methodically through the questions, starting with halves of regular shapes, then get more complex. This seems to give the questions in a random order.
A really useful visual interactive resource. My only criticism would be that the first question was to find 3/4 of a tiled shape. It would be better to start with halves and move on to quarters then 3/4.
