Functional Skills Different Ways to Communicate

This could be used as a starter activity. The learners cut out and match the pairs appropriately. It is intended to develop an understanding that there is more than just verbal communication; and sometimes other ways are more apprpropriate. I use it for Functional Skills English Level 1. I printed it on colored card for added visual interest. The cards could be laminated and distributed in evelopes to learners; or learners may enjoy cutting them out.
