This is a nice way to develop How Science Works skills through a really interesting scientific context! The activity asks learners to solve a very old dilemma and, although it gives some guidance, it doesn't lead pupils too much, so they can develop their own experiments independently! I really like the second sheet of the worksheet, because it fosters metacognition and challenged learners' misconceptions! Thanks for sharing.

This is a nice resource that leads to an easy to complete investigation. After showing the students the PowerPoint, I would take a poll to see which scientist they think is correct before conducting the investigation. Thanks for sharing!
