      About This Lesson

      Students will complete and discuss Do Now and are then given definition of GDP and GDP (PPP), followed by the “Perfect Circle” simulation. A short video clip on defining GDP is followed by computer time exploring CIA World Fact Book and complete “Comparing GDP with other Vital Statistics”. The class ends with a short summarizer and a Ticket to Leave. Learning Objective: Students will be able to explain what GDP and GDP per Capita are and brainstorm possible impacts of a nation’s GDP. Aligned to Common Core State Standard: RH.6-8.4
