Grief Triggers

This module addresses the phenomenon of grief triggers and how they can be handled in a school setting. The module starts by defining grief triggers and explaining why they can be distressing. Practical suggestions on how educators and other school personnel can anticipate and minimize the impact of grief triggers on grieving students are provided, including guidance on how to approach particular topics with an increased awareness that they may be difficult for students with a history of personal loss, which may or may not be known by the school.
