About This Lesson
This table can be used by students when carrying out a half-life simulation using dice or m&ms. They have a pot of 50 m&ms and tip onto a tray. All the ones with the m showing are 'decayed atoms' and get removed. The numbers are written down in the table and rest of m&ms put in the pot and repeated. They can draw a graph of their results and use it to work out the half-life of the m&ms isotope.
