About This Lesson
This activity has students choose a specific lens to view Hammurabi's Code through and then analyze 10 or 15 laws. The lenses are empathy (why the laws would work well in Ancient Babylon), Researching (if these laws or similar ones are still in effect anywhere), logical reasoning/synthesis (adding to laws to make them applicable for today), and confidence/presentation (imagine you are Hammurabi, writing a speech at the unveiling of these laws).
