About This Lesson
To use the activity I give all the students an example of a hazard symbol and ask them to select from the list of descriptions which one they think matches. Then I will read out the description and they hold up the card if they think theirs will match. I ask why they think that and we discuss it; and so on for all the descriptions. At the end the students do a card sort with all the symbols.
This is a good activity to build confidence for the students and allow them to feel success in the content.
