About This Lesson

These activities are primarily aimed at young learners with little or no exposure to English. They would also work with English-speaking children in pre-K or kindergarten, particularly if the children are shy or have limited experience communicating with others. Ideal for the beginning of term. Lesson activities include an easy game, song, and story. Children will learn how to appropriately greet others by saying 'hello' and 'goodbye' It's possible to add 'what's your name? and how are you?' as well. Very little prep required - just print copy of the story.

I found useful and productive for teaching greetings to children learning English. I will use parts of this lesson plan in my classroom. Thanks!
