About This Lesson

This is one of many lessons that I have uploaded on Henry VIII for a 6th-8th Grade History Group. All of the lessons can be taught together but each covers a topic so can also be picked up separately. This is a full PowerPoint lesson; ready to teach but you will want to adapt it / update it for your own context and any resources are also uploaded with it. This lesson shows students how to explain why Henry got married so many times.

You need to spell check resource, a few slides seem to have missing words.

This resource requires students to have previous knowledge of the content because one of the starter activities is matching the reasons for the marriage ending with the corresponding papers given. Also, the resource does not mention the Reformation but yet the student responses know what it is (must also be part of the previous knowledge learned). If you plan on using this, be aware that the students must already have knowledge on the topic and slides 10-14 are about the only useful slides.
