Essential Question: HOW DOES IMPEACHMENT AFFECT CIVIC PARTICIPATION?
Objective: To have students analyze and evaluate the impeachment process.
Critical Thinking Questions:
- What differences did you notice between the 3 Congressional impeachments? [Johnson and Clinton impeached by HOR; Nixon resigns]
- Who funds the impeachment process?
- Under what conditions should citizens consider impeachment?
- How does impeachment affect voting?
- Have past impeachments undermined public confidence and civic participation? Why or Why not?
