About This Lesson
Word of warning; this "experiment" can be executed dreadfully- the idea is that as the activity goes on, the teacher asks probing questions, like "what could make it melt faster? Slower? Why is it melting in the first place? What if we were sitting in a really cold room? What if it was summer?" etc. Deep, open questions encourage independent thought on this seemingly simple task.
