About This Lesson

Pre and Post 1914 poetry.students use the handouts to identify poetical techniques within the poem. They must find evidence and justify their choices with analysis.I looked at 'The Hero' with them the lesson before to act as a comparison. Aligned to Common Core Standard: SL.6.3, SL.7.3, SL.8.3

Great resource. Detailed lesson plan complemented with a Power Point to guide students through and the poetic technique table is useful in getting students to focus on their analysis of the poem. Thanks for sharing this.
