Independent Reading (sustained silent reading)

I use this unit in writing-heavy classes to teach students how to write a review and also to make sure they're putting lots of books into their heads. I require the students to read a book (fiction or narrative nonfiction) every six weeks and respond as shown. I put the reviews into a class binder, which students can use to pick their next book.
