About This Lesson
PPT lesson plan for introducing inequalities ages 8 upwards or low ability students. Set up the lesson before to bring in an object longer than 4cm and an object smaller than 4cm. Introduces the concepts of greater than and less than. Use the crocodile eats the bigger number to remind students which way the sign goes. Crocodile aerobics activity: 2 numbers are shown on ppt; students have to stand up and use arms to represent which way the inequality sign will go. Useful for waking them up and kinesthetic learning.
